Welcome to the Osceola High School Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFJROTC) web page! Since its establishment in 2001, our AFJROTC program has been a beacon of excellence and achievement within our school community and beyond.
For 15 consecutive years, from 2003 to 2018, Osceola HS AFJROTC proudly held the title of state champions, showcasing our dedication to excellence and teamwork. Moreover, our commitment to excellence was further exemplified by our participation in the All Services Drill Team Competition in Daytona, Florida, for five consecutive years.
One of the core values of our program is service to the community. Students involved in AFJROTC have the opportunity to earn community service hours by volunteering at various events throughout the year. In 2023, our unit was recognized as one of the top 5% out of 840 AFJROTC units nationwide and received the prestigious Silver Star for Community Service with Excellence Award for the second time.
By joining AFJROTC, students not only have the chance to earn awards but also fulfill their required community service hours for high school graduation. Throughout the school year, our cadets are called upon to present the Colors and lead parades at numerous events, including parades, football games, basketball games, inaugurations, concerts, and other special occasions.
Currently, our AFJROTC unit is engaged in an ongoing community service project at the Help Center in Joiner, AR, demonstrating our commitment to serving those in need. With 32 dedicated cadets currently participating in the program, we anticipate even more joining us for the next school year.
Our goal is to maintain our position among the top 5% of all AFJROTC units each school year, and with the dedication of our cadets and staff, we are confident in achieving this objective.
Join us in Osceola HS AFJROTC, where excellence, service, and leadership are at the forefront of everything we do.
