Mr. Mosby's 8th grade literacy class is working on plot; however, they took a break to focus on vocabulary. After listening to Mr. Mosby recite the definition, students were eager to figure out the words and build the words using Scrabble game pieces.

Saturday, September 17, 2022, is Substitution Day. Osceola High School is very thankful for all of its guest teachers. As many know, we are experiencing a teacher shortage throughout the country, and we could not conduct school business as usual without the help of guest teachers. Thank you, Ms. Lois Jefferson, Ms. Valerie Estell, and Ms. Gwen Long for being a part of our team at OHS!!!

11th-grade students in Mrs. Browns ELA class learned vocabulary centered on the law and trial lingo. In celebration of Constitution Day, students from OHS and students from the University of Arkansas participated in a mock trial where the 11th-grade student body was the jury. Judge Ralph Wilson presided over the case which resulted in a hung jury. Early college students Alyssa Summerville(Defense Team), Breann Fultz-Foster (Prosecution Team), Alyssa Crafton (Witness), Kaden Newson (Witness), Damia Grice (Witness), and Kendah McDonald (Witness) participated in the trial alongside U of A students. Students were thankful for the experience. Thank you, U of A Law School students, professors, and Judge Wilson for being Seminole Partners!

Students in grades 10 - 12 had the opportunity to visit the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff on Saturday, September 10, 2022. Students participated in a college tour, had the opportunity to visit with departments within the university, and attended a UAPB football game.
