Opening Night at Osceola! Yesterday marked the first home baseball game of the season, and it was a night to remember! Russell Leggett, retired Athletic Director for Osceola School District, had the honor of throwing out the first pitch. The National Anthem was beautifully performed by Chrystal Hearn, setting the perfect tone for the game. Today, our OHS family came together for an incredible sendoff and pep rally to celebrate our boys basketball team as they head to the State Tournament! The gym was filled with excitement and school spirit as students, staff, and community members cheered on our Seminoles and showed their purple & gold pride! Coach Gathen, a beloved retired OHS coach, delivered an inspiring message to the team, encouraging them to stay focused, give it their all, and make Osceola proud. Osceola Students Shine at Lyon College Honors Band! Several of our talented students participated in the Honors Band at Lyon College in Batesville, Arkansas! Under the direction of Dr. Hannah Rudy from the University of Illinois, students were introduced to five concert pieces and collaborated with musicians from across the state to present a spectacular final performance. A special congratulations to each Junior and Senior, who received a $2,000 scholarship to attend Lyon College! We are so proud of their dedication and hard work! #webleedpurpleandgold
