Osceola Middle School /8th Graders Explore Career Opportunities On Wednesday, February 12, our 8th grade students attended the 8th Grade Career Fair at the Blytheville High School Arena! This incredible event gave students the opportunity to engage with representatives from the Mississippi County Sheriff's Department, Blytheville Emergency Squad, University of Central Arkansas, Arkansas State University, Nucor Yamato Steel, Big River Steel, law firms, entrepreneurs, and more! Students also participated in mock interviews, gaining valuable insight into the hiring process and workplace expectations. Events like these are essential in helping students explore future career paths, connect with potential employers, and prepare for success #webleedpurpleandgold

North Elementary/ Valentine Kings and Queens 2025 Congratulations to North Elementary Valentine Court 2025. PreK crowned Legaci Woodson , Maceceon and Jaceceon Jones. Kindergarten crowned Hope Rodriguez and Cayson Caruthers. All classes together raised $4467 to be used for end of the year student activities and teacher appreciation week. #webleedpurpleandgold

Exciting News! The Osceola School District has been awarded a $115,542.00 School Safety Grant from the Safe Schools Unit, Division of Elementary and Secondary Education! These funds will be used to upgrade intercom systems at Osceola Middle School and Osceola High School, ensuring clearer, more efficient communication throughout the schools. CSE/After School Learning Enrichment The Osceola School District would like to take a moment to highlight the fantastic work being done in Ms. Houser's After School Learning Enrichment program! Since its launch in September, this initiative has been a game-changer, with students showing remarkable growth in their learning. Yesterday, the small group participated in a Valentine’s Day escape room that integrated grade-level math concepts. The enthusiasm and determination these students displayed were truly inspiring! Special Olympics Individual Basketball Skills Competition Recap! We would like to extend a HUGE thank you to Coach Hearn, Janet Mason, Sarah Fountain, and Theresa Book for organizing an incredible event that showcased the skills and talents of our athletes during the Special Olympics Individual Basketball Skills competition! This year, we were thrilled to welcome participants from seven school districts: Armorel, Gosnell, Blytheville, KIPP, Rivercrest, West Memphis, and Osceola. The event was a great success, with amazing support from our ROTC, band, and student-athletes from the basketball, football, and baseball teams. Their enthusiasm and encouragement helped create an unforgettable experience for all involved! Hosted at the Seminole Arena, this event truly reflected the spirit of teamwork and inclusivity. Grizzlies Hype Man BLJ and Grizz Energize the Read to Achieve Challenge! Thanks to the collaboration with Big River Steel and the Memphis Grizzlies, the Read to Achieve program is underway! The program kicked off yesterday at Seminole Arena with an exciting event featuring Grizzlies Hype Man BLJ, Claw Crew, Grizz Girls and Grizz. This six-week reading competition encourages students in grades 3-5 to boost their literacy skills and track their reading minutes. Top students and classes will be rewarded with exclusive Grizzlies incentives each week! The event began with an electrifying performance from the Osceola Band and Cheerleaders, setting the tone for an exciting day! Students from Osceola, Rivercrest, Blytheville, Armorel, and Gosnell attended the event, making it a true countywide celebration of literacy. Osceola Middle School/ "State Capitol Tour" Field Trip The students at Osceola Middle School attended the "City of Osceola's 150th" recognition at the state Capitol in Little Rock, AR. The students were given a tour of the state capitol and met numerous members of the house and senate. The students met their own state representative, Joey Carr and Senator Dave Wallace. The students learned about the history of the facility as well as prominent new bills being presented by the Governor, Sarah Hucklebee-Sanders.
