CSE/ iReady Testing Pep Rally
First and Second Grade students at CSE will be taking the iReady Diagnostic Test on May 6th and May 7th. To prepare for the test and encourage each other to do their best, a testing pep rally was held. Students made signs of encouragement and cheered for each other. They also gave examples of what their class has done to prepare for testing. Students from Ms. Baker's 2nd grade class read a poem to encourage all students. Mrs. Jackson's 1st Grade class performed for the rally. To close the rally, Principal Holmes gave testing tips and reminded students to be present and on time daily. We are anxious for CSE students to "show what they know"!

OHS Shines Bright at Governor's Scholastic Honors Day!
We're bursting with pride to announce that two outstanding seniors from OHS, Kadan Newson and BreAnn Fultz-Foster, were chosen to represent our school at the prestigious Governor's Scholastic Honors Day in Little Rock this past Saturday, May 4, 2024.
This event, hosted at the Governor's Mansion, celebrates the academic excellence of Arkansas' finest students, and we couldn't be happier to see Kadan and BreAnn recognized for their hard work and dedication.
Not only did they have the honor of meeting the governor and first gentleman, but they also received certificates recognizing their remarkable achievements.
Congratulations, Kadan and BreAnn, for this well-deserved recognition! Your commitment to academic excellence is an inspiration to us all. Thank you for representing OHS with such distinction!

CSE/3rd and 4th Gr. Testing Parade
First and Second Grade students, along with teachers and other staff members, lined the hallway to cheer for our Third and Fourth Grade students. Students held posters and chanted cheers to encourage Third and Fourth Grade students for testing. After the parade, students attended an assembly where Principal Holmes gave testing tips and encouragement also. Supporting and encouraging each other is important to CSE students and staff! CSE/i-Ready Testing Dates
CSE announces the End of the Year i-Ready Diagnostic Testing Dates. First and Second Grade will test on Monday, May 6 and Tuesday, May 7, 2024. Third and Fourth Grade will test Wednesday, May 8 and Thursday, May 9, 2024. It is time for us to shine CSE!! Be present and on time daily. Stay focused and engaged during testing.

CSE/Kindergarten Step Up
North Elementary Kindergarten students and parents were greeted by CSE student ambassadors, First Grade teachers and staff for our annual Step Up Day. Students, along with their parents, participated in engaging Literacy, Math, and Science activities lead by First Grade teachers. CSE was excited to meet the upcoming First Grade Class of 2024-25 and their parents! We are encouraged by the positive response that we received from parents and staff.
