Makeup Days Due to winter weather, Osceola School District was forced to cancel classes on January 16th, 17th, 18th, and 19th. Please note the following makeup schedule for the canceled days: Friday, April 12, 2024 Friday, April 26, 2024 Friday, May 24, 2024 Friday, May 31, 2024 These days will be regular school days, and the last day of school will be Friday, May 31, 2024. Osceola School District understands that the recent cancellations may have caused some inconvenience for families and students, but safety is our top priority. We want to ensure that our students have the best opportunity to learn in a safe and comfortable environment. STAR Academy/ 2024-2025 STAR Flyer and Application The STAR Academy staff and administration is excited to announce that enrollment for the 2024-2025 (upcoming) school year is open for students entering into the 7th and 8th grade. An application can be completed online through the QR Code attached to the flyer, https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfcnKQL-1Z58OLpWQDRBmvN1Ybux7QczQ5PbCAZloomogxrNA/viewform, or you can pick one up at the STAR Academy campus during the regular school hours. This program utilizes a project based learning approach within a culture whereas student learn by applying real-world applications in/out of their classes. STAR Academy/ State Testing Schedule STAR Academy students will test on April 23rd for three consecutive days. The students will take the reading, math and science test starting next week (dates attached to the flyer below). OHS /AFJROTC Annual Banquet & Awards Night Highlights This past Friday, April 12th, marked a memorable evening for the OHS AFJROTC as they hosted their much-anticipated annual banquet and awards night! Cadets, along with their proud parents, gathered to celebrate their incredible achievements and share unforgettable moments with their families. A huge shoutout to MSgt Bryant and Senior Cupp for their dedicated efforts in organizing and decorating the high school cafeteria for this special event. Their commitment ensured that every detail was meticulously planned, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all attendees. The evening was made even more inspiring with the presence of our esteemed guest speaker, CSM Marvin Hill US Army (Ret). His words of wisdom and encouragement resonated deeply with our students, leaving them motivated and empowered. One particular quote stood out: "Be All YOU Can Be, and Aim High!" A powerful reminder to strive for greatness in everything we do. Let's not forget to mention the delicious meal that was catered by Senior Cupp and Chartwell’s! A delectable spread that tantalized taste buds and added an extra touch of enjoyment to the evening's festivities. OMS/ATLAS Testing Reminder Reminder: Osceola Middle School has end of year ATLAS testing on the schedule. The testing days will be April 22-25, 2024 and April 29-30, 2024. Each Grade level has a certain day they will test in a particular subject. Please have your student on time for school each day of testing. CSE/ATLAS TESTING DATES ANNOUNCED Third and Fourth Grade students will be testing on the following days: Monday, April 29th, Tuesday, April 30th, and Thursday, May 2nd, 2024. It is important that each student is present each day and on time for ATLAS testing. Students that are present, on time, stay focused, and try their best will receive Seminole Bucks to redeem at the end of the week. This is the time for CSE to SHINE!!
