OSD/Mental Health Series
Let’s talk about your child’s emotions.
Understand why we have emotions, their impact and why emotions being too high or low can be harmful.
Time: 11:30-12:00 PM
Location: Your Childs School & via Zoom
Each school in the district will host this 30 minute session with a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Lunch will be provided!
This is a free event!

Parent Meeting
The parent's meeting tonight at 5:30 pm is for the Star Academy student's parents only. The location is the Choice's Learning Center at 711 West Lee Street.

OHS/Football Game
Due to high temperatures forecasted for the week the Sr High School football game at Newport Friday August 25, has changed the start time of the game from 7:00pm to 7:30 pm . This will allow extra time for the sun to go down and temperatures to decrease.

Band T-shirt Fundraiser
OSD Band T-shirt fundraiser starts today through September 1, 2023. T-shirts are $20.00 cash only. Payments should be turned into Sharice Yates, Band Coordinator at Osceola Middle School Campus.

Support Services
Faith James and Veronica Gavin attended the Arkansas Teachers for National Board Certification (ATNBC) and the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS) at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Information was provided to the attendees relating to the process, practice, mentorship and incentives of becoming a National Board Certification Teacher. They will share information obtained with other certified colleagues who are interested pursuing National Board Certification. This is an amazing opportunity for teachers who are certified or has a provisional license working towards becoming certified.
