2022 OHS Homecoming week activities

"History has been made", Dr. Graham, Director of Bands for UAPB stated. This weekend, The Mighty Marching Seminoles OMS/OHS Band went to UAPB Homecoming and participated in their Homecoming Parade and Battle Royale (Battle of the Bands). This was the first time our students have participated in such an event. While other students got to enjoy their Fall Break, our band students spent many days at the school preparing for this event. From the 3-hour bus drive to the sound of the drum as the Band Marched up main street in Pine Bluff Arkansas our students were represented well. This is only the beginning of what our students will achieve under the leadership of Dr. Lamario Bell, OMS/OHS Director of Bands. "Big things comes in small packages", is our Motto as we prepare to Battle Bands in any performance. "Greater is he that is in me that is in the world. We are working hard as a band to change the Culture of the Community and to focus on Family. In Family we find Joy, Peace, and Happiness in this process. However, because of the principles Dr. Bell is instilling in the band they were presented with two participation awards and placed 3rd overall in the Battle of the Bands.

Osceola Middle School would like to congratulate our wonderful band director, Mr. L. Bell. He is an outstanding band director who is already taken the newly designed band to new heights. The Seminole Band recently won 3rd place for their performance at the Annual UAPB Homecoming Battle Royale. Thank you Mr. Bell and the Seminole Band for a job well done! Parents and students we are asking you all to support our musically talented students as they continue to grow brick by brick.
