OHS EAST student, Kadan Newson won the EAST logo challenge, for EASTCon23. The competition had 93 entries and Kadan’s design won. This is the first time in EAST@OHS programs history that we have won this prestigious award. Every student and facilitator at EAST conference will be wearing Kadan’s creation. This is a reminder that OHS is conducting summer school for credit recovery Monday Thursday 8 am – 12 pm through June 30th. If your student received a summer school letter it is important that they attend each day to recover lost credits. Bus transportation is provided beginning at 7:15 am. Breakfast and lunch are served daily.

Osceola High School 11th grader Sara Wright is McDonald's Student of the Year. Sara is an outstanding student from the class of 2023 and she received a plaque and a $100 gift card from our local McDonald's. She is an early college participant, has excellent attendance, zero discipline referrals, and is top ten percent of her class. Congratulations Sara Wright! Osceola High School 11th grader Logan Slayton is McDonald's Student Athletic of the Year. Logan is an outstanding student from the class of 2023 and he received a plaque and a $100 gift card from our local McDonald's. Ain't Misbehavin'!!! OHS students who did not receive a discipline referral for the first three quarters of the school year were treated to an end-of-year trip to Magic Springs on Saturday, May 14, 2022. 156 students earned the trip and 88 students participated. Students had 4 1/2 hours to enjoy the park and were treated to a catered lunch. Thank you to all of the chaperones and bus drivers that made this possible for OHS students!
