Osceola Summer Meal Program Announcement With summer right around the corner, it's time to think about keeping our children healthy and happy while school is out. The Osceola School District is excited to announce that we will be providing free meals to children during the summer! Makeup Days Due to winter weather, Osceola School District was forced to cancel classes on January 16th, 17th, 18th, and 19th. Please note the following makeup schedule for the canceled days: Friday, April 12, 2024 Friday, April 26, 2024 Friday, May 24, 2024 Friday, May 31, 2024 These days will be regular school days, and the last day of school will be Friday, May 31, 2024. Osceola School District understands that the recent cancellations may have caused some inconvenience for families and students, but safety is our top priority. We want to ensure that our students have the best opportunity to learn in a safe and comfortable environment. Band Instrument Showcase Our Band Program just hit a high note with its first-ever Instrumental Showcase, and what a success it was! Students were treated to a firsthand look at the array of instruments our band offers, sparking excitement and curiosity about music in our district. The event aimed to ignite a passion for music among our students and introduce them to the diverse world of musical instruments. From brass to woodwind, percussion to strings, there was something for everyone to explore and discover. But the highlight? Hearing from students who've been instrumental in the resurgence of our Band Program. Their stories and experiences truly inspired our attendees and showcased the amazing journey our program has taken. And guess what? We're not done yet! CSE/End of Year Field Day Celebration Parents and Guardians, you are invited to attend CSE End of Year Field Day Celebration. This event will be Thursday, May 30th from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm on CSE campus. Come enjoy games, activities, food, and opportunities to make fun memories! However, this event is only for CSE students and parents/guardians in order to ensure the safety of all attendees. If you would like to attend, you must sign the form that was sent home with students regarding the celebration information. Please send the form back to school to your child’s teacher by Friday, May 17th. This will ensure that you will receive a ticket for your lunch on that day. CSE/3rd and 4th Gr. Testing Parade First and Second Grade students, along with teachers and other staff members, lined the hallway to cheer for our Third and Fourth Grade students. Students held posters and chanted cheers to encourage Third and Fourth Grade students for testing. After the parade, students attended an assembly where Principal Holmes gave testing tips and encouragement also. Supporting and encouraging each other is important to CSE students and staff! CSE/i-Ready Testing Dates CSE announces the End of the Year i-Ready Diagnostic Testing Dates. First and Second Grade will test on Monday, May 6 and Tuesday, May7, 2024.
