CSE/ACT Aspire Testing
CSE 3rd and 4th grade students will take their state tests this week (April 17th-21st). Please make sure your child gets enough rest and encourage them to do their very best. These tests are extremely important as they are summative tests that will asses your child’s learning.
We believe in our kiddos and look forward to seeing the growth they have made since the beginning of the school year.

CSE/AP Recognition Week
NAESP (National Association of Elementary School) celebrates National Assistant Principals Week every April to recognize the significant role assistant principals (APs) play in the overall academic achievement of students nationwide. National Assistant Principals Week is April 3–7, 2023 (obtained from NAESP website).

Good Friday/ PD Day
Osceola School District will be closed Friday, April 7, 2023 for Good Friday. Students will also be out on Monday, April 10, 2023 for staff development. Students will return at normal time on Tuesday, April 11, 2023.

The Sneaker Ball has been rescheduled for Friday, April 28th from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Entry to the dance will require a ticket. Letters about the dance were sent home today.

Due to the impending threat of dangerous weather, the Osceola School District will dismiss one hour early Friday, March 31, 2023.
Choices/ ALE - 1:00pm
North - 1:30pm
OMS - 1:50pm
CSE - 2:00pm
OHS - 2:15pm

OSD / Threat of severe weather
Tomorrow afternoon Friday, March 31, 2023, there is a threat of severe weather moving into the area close to dismissal time. Our top priority is to keep students and staff safe. If you choose to check your child(ren) out early, the early check out for Friday, March 31, 2023 will be excused. District administration will be monitoring the weather throughout the day. Please be prepared for a possible early release should it be deemed necessary based on expected weather conditions.

CSE/Sneaker Ball Postponed
Unfortunately, due to the threat of severe weather on Friday, March 31st, we will have to postpone the dance to a later date. We sincerely apologize as we know this is a disappointment because we were all looking forward to this fun experience. However, we need to keep safety at the forefront for everyone.
We truly appreciate the participation and enthusiasm thus far and will inform you of the rescheduled date.

Happy Pi Day!
Pi Day is an annual celebration of the mathematical constant π. Pi Day is observed on March 14 since 3, 1, and 4 are the first three significant figures of π. It was founded in 1988 by Larry Shaw, an employee of the San Francisco, California science museum, the Exploratorium. It also happens to be Albert Einstein's birthday.
