How to be prepared for the freezing Temps that are coming!
*Make sure your student is dressed for the cold. If they do not have a coat, reach out
to the school counselor.
*Our bus drivers will come in early to make sure the heat is working and to warm
buses
*Our bus drivers are instructed to pick up any student seen walking
*Inclement weather will be posted to our facebook page as well as Kait8, Fox 13,
News Channel 3, and Action News 5

Inclement Weather Notice
As we move through this winter season we want to make sure that everyone stays informed of any closings we may have due inclement weather. This year we no longer have AMI days so if the school is closed due to inclement weather it will have to be made up.
Closing announcements will be posted on the Osceola School District facebook page, Kait8, Fox 13, News Channel 3, and Action New 5.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day
Osceola School District will be closed Monday, January 15, 2024 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Students will return to school on Tuesday, January 16, 2024.

Happy Holidays from Osceola School District!
As a reminder, students will return to classes on Thursday, January 4, 20024, with staff returning on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 for a teacher in-service day.
For those who will be traveling during the break, we wish you safe and happy travels.

OHS/PROReady Pro Day
PROReady is a weekly professional development workshop series for high school students. This program engages students around character development, life skills, and the transition beyond high school. Osceola School District brought this program to its students this semester to develop academic skills, career preparation, and soft skills training.
The workshop series, established by Dr. Tywanna Smith in 2019, culminated on Wednesday, December 13th with a PRO Day experience for students. This activity engaged community leaders from Arkansas Northeastern College, the Osceola School District administration, and Nucor. Students performed mock interviews to articulate their academic and career goals and strengths that they will use to be successful.
The PRO Ready workshop series is being administered at select high schools across Eastern Arkansas. Participating students from Osceola School District are PRO Ready!
