Our Osceola High School students had the incredible opportunity to participate in the Career Showcase Day hosted by the Osceola/SMC Chamber at the ANC Wilson Campus.

This event connected our 9th–12th grade students with a wide range of career pathways, military representatives, and educational institutions, giving them the chance to ask questions, explore possibilities, and envision their futures.

We are proud of how engaged and curious our students were! They took full advantage of this unique opportunity to meet professionals, discover new interests, and start shaping their post-graduation goals.

A huge thank you to the Osceola/SMC Chamber and ANC Wilson Campus for organizing such a meaningful experience for our community’s young leaders. Partnerships like these ensure that our students are not only prepared for graduation but also for lifelong success.

Transition Class in Action!

Yesterday, our Transition Class students rolled up their sleeves and learned how to change a tire! With plenty of teamwork, laughter, and hands-on practice, they mastered an essential independent living skill that will stick with them for years to come.

This activity not only built confidence but also connected to important high school learning standards, including:
Independent Living Skills
Career & Technical Education (safety, problem-solving, teamwork)
21st Century Skills (critical thinking, communication, and self-management)

What an exciting and empowering experience for our future road-ready problem solvers!

A huge thank you to Mr. Massey for providing this valuable teachable moment for our students!

We want to make our families aware of a recent scam targeting parents in our community.

Please know:

1. The Osceola School District does not communicate disciplinary actions, including suspensions, through text messages.

2. Any notification regarding student discipline will always be made by a personal phone call from school administration, never by text.

3. The fake numbers used in these messages are being turned over to local law enforcement for investigation.

We ask parents to remain cautious and verify any suspicious communication by contacting your child’s school directly.

Thank you for helping us keep our school community safe and informed.

District Statement on School Safety

Last night, local law enforcement informed the District of a potential threat directed toward one of our schools. The District and law enforcement take all such matters very seriously and worked together to immediately assess the situation. Their investigation has confirmed there is no active danger to our students or staff.

The District remains firmly committed to working closely with local law enforcement whenever potential threats arise. Protecting the safety and well-being of our students and staff is always our highest priority.

We want to reassure our families that all schools are operating safely, and everyone is fine.

North/ PreK Greetings

At North Elementary, even the smallest details make a big difference! Our PreK teachers greeted students this morning with their Conscious Discipline aprons, giving each child the power to choose how they wanted to be welcomed into school.

From fist bumps, high fives, hugs, and other fun greetings, students started their day with a sense of connection, confidence, and choice. What a beautiful way to build strong relationships and create a positive school environment from the very start!

North/ First Week of Kindergarten

What a GREAT first week in Kindergarten!

Our young scholars were busy bees learning how to draw vertical and horizontal lines, practicing numbers 0–3 , and sharing their “All About Me” books so we could get to know each other better. We laughed, we learned, and we made new friends — what an awesome start to the year!

North PreK/ First Days of Learning

PreK Highlights – First days of School!

Our PreK students had a wonderful first few days of learning and fun! They spent time making new friends, practicing classroom procedures, and learning how to work and play together. From morning routines to circle time, our little learners are already showing responsibility and kindness each day. Of course, no first week would be complete without some outside fun! Laughter and play filled the playground as students explored, built friendships, and enjoyed the sunshine. We are so proud of how quickly our PreK Seminoles are settling into school life—this is just the beginning of an amazing year of growth and learning!

North/ Mrs. Wilson's Class

Mrs. Wilson’s class started the year with the book First Day Jitters! This story helped remind students that it’s perfectly normal to feel a little nervous on the first day of school. To make the day extra special, students enjoyed a fun treat — “Jitter Juice” and shared ways to support one another. Together, they are building a positive classroom environment where everyone feels welcome, safe, and ready to learn!

🚣‍♀️ Day One: Rowing Together into a Great Year! 🚣‍♂️

What a fantastic first day back! Our students, staff, and families set the tone for a year of learning, growth, and teamwork. The energy in our classrooms and hallways reminds us that when we all row together, we move forward with strength and purpose. 💙📚

We also know that some of our bus routes experienced delays today. 🚌 Thank you for your patience as we adjust and fine-tune. Just like in rowing, it takes coordination and practice to find the perfect rhythm, and our transportation team is working to get us there quickly.

With everyone rowing in the same direction, we are confident this will be a year of success for all! 🌟

Parents/Guardians,

For the safety of all students, we require a valid photo ID anytime a child is checked out of school. Our staff will verify your ID against the names listed on your child’s information sheet before releasing them.

We cannot make exceptions to this procedure , even if staff members know you personally. This ensures that every parent or guardian is treated fairly and consistently. For example, if one parent is asked for ID while another is not, it could cause confusion or concern.

If a parent or guardian arrives without an ID, they will be asked to return with one before the child can be checked out.

We understand this may feel like an inconvenience at times, but please know this procedure is in place for one reason: to protect our students. Your patience and cooperation help us maintain a safe and secure environment for every child in our care.

Thank you for your understanding and partnership.
