North/ Amplify North Kindergarten teachers were invited to be included in the Arkansas CKLA Video Project. Mrs. Spring Cook works closely with the Arkansas Department of Elementary Education in the area of literacy. ADE asked Mrs. Cook to showcase teachers who are exemplifying implementation of CKLA. North kindergarten teachers accepted the challenge and were videoed May 1. North Elementary kindergarten teachers and students shined bright for all of Arkansas to see. North/ Family Community Picnic May 9 North Family and Community Picnic will be held Friday, May 9.. PreK students and families will eat at 11:00 and Kindergarten students and families will eat at 12:00. Bring a blanket or lawn chair and come join the fun! One parent per child will eat free and other family members will be charged $5.00 to eat lunch on the school playground. We will have music, fun, and door prizes throughout the event. The Osceola School District is pleased to announce that the Osceola School Board of Education has voted to hire Mr. Gregory Hodges as the next Superintendent! Honoring Antavion & Ms. Estell: Sharing Their Story, Inspiring Our Schools The Osceola School District is proud to celebrate and support our very own Antavion Cotton and his mother, Ms. Ciera Estell, on the release of their inspiring books, Connecting Tae’s Puzzle Pieces and The Invasion of the Puzzle Pieces. In honor of Autism Awareness Month, the district has purchased copies of both books for each campus, providing teachers and students the opportunity to engage with their powerful message. This initiative reflects our continued commitment to embracing every student’s unique differences and recognizing the value of each individual’s abilities. Antavion and Ms. Estell have overcome many challenges together, and we are deeply grateful for their unwavering determination—not only to support one another but to uplift the entire Osceola community.
